🌊 Before boarding with Sailcoop on the Neoliner Origin

The Neoliner Origin is an innovative Ro-Ro (Roll-on / Roll-off) sailing cargo ship,
operated by NEOLINE and open to passengers through Sailcoop.
Its primary mission is the transport of goods and vehicles
passengers are invited to experience an authentic maritime journey,
immersed in the reality of sail-powered freight.

By booking a crossing with Sailcoop, the passenger acknowledges and accepts the
specific conditions inherent to this type of navigation:

  • 📅 Flexible Dates: precise departure and arrival dates may be modified until the very last moment.
  • Navigation Decisions: the Captain may at any time
    modify the itinerary (stopovers, ports, duration of crossing) according to logistical or meteorological constraints.
  • 🧭 Captain’s Authority: the Captain remains sole master on board and holds absolute authority
    to enforce safety regulations.
    He may refuse boarding to any passenger deemed unfit for health reasons,
    or disembark any person endangering the vessel, the crew, or other passengers.
  • 📞 Availability: passengers must be available and reachable in the departure city
    from 24 hours before departure to receive the final instructions sent
    by Sailcoop, NEOLINE, or the ship’s crew.

⚠️ Important:
By booking a crossing on the Neoliner Origin, each passenger commits to showing
flexibility, adaptability, and understanding regarding the constraints of maritime freight transport.

🌬️ Sailing on a cargo ship means experiencing the sea differently:
a human, ecological experience turned towards the future of maritime transport.


👨‍👩‍👧 Boarding Requirements

The following conditions, based on Articles 13 and 14 of the General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of the Carrier NEOLINE, apply to all passengers boarding the Neoliner Origin.

  • 👦 Minimum Age: passengers must be at least 7 years old, measure over 100 cm, and weigh more than 20 kg to be authorized to board (Article 13 of NEOLINE GTC).
  • 👵 Maximum Age: the age limit for boarding is set at 75 years old (Article 13 of NEOLINE GTC).
    However, this limit may be exceptionally waived if the passenger provides a medical certificate attesting to their good physical and mental health (see clause 8).
  • 🤰 Pregnant Women: pregnant women who are or will be in their 24th week of pregnancy before or during the voyage are not authorized to board, for safety reasons and due to the absence of a doctor on board (Article 14 of NEOLINE GTC).

⛵ These rules are designed to ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during the crossing.


⚓ Before your departure: Mandatory procedures

Certain formalities are mandatory before boarding.
Please complete them and provide the requested documents prior to your arrival at the port.

🩺 Medical Certificate of Fitness

Each passenger must present a medical certificate of fitness duly completed to be authorized to board.
This document is required by the shipping company NEOLINE.

Important:

  • Present the original medical certificate at boarding.
  • Without this document, access to the ship will be denied.
  • The certificate must be dated no more than 30 days before departure.

All passengers must take out multi-risk travel insurance covering the duration of the crossing.

Each passenger must also complete and sign a liability waiver before departure.

🌍 International Migration Formalities

🇺🇸 United States

The company NEOLINE participates in the Visa Waiver Program.
This program allows citizens of partner countries to travel to the United States without a visa for a duration of up to 90 days.

Requirement:

Passengers must have a valid ESTA authorization
at least 30 days before departure.

Biometric Data:
Non-EU resident travelers will be required to undergo a
biometric procedure upon entry and exit from the territory.

🇪🇺 France / European Union

New procedures apply to travelers entering or leaving the European Union,
notably with the implementation of the ETIAS system which will be active by the end of 2026. In the meantime, only the
Entry/Exit System (EES) is applicable.

Each passenger is responsible for checking and completing these formalities before departure.
